Brisbane's winters, from June until August, are very pleasant. It's mild throughout, with overnight lows rarely dropping below 9°C and daytime highs of around 21°C. You may catch the odd shower in Brisbane in the winter, but it's a much drier time of year than the summer. If you're visiting Brisbane in the winter, take the opportunity to explore the city's many indoor attractions, museums and art galleries.
What to wear in Brisbane?
Whether you are visiting Brisbane in the summer, autumn, winter or spring it is advisable to have some waterproof clothing with you or at least an umbrella in case you get caught by the rain. In the winter light, long sleeved clothing is more than suitable during the day time though you may want some warmer layers to throw on during the evenings. Summer is the perfect time to wear shorts and t-shirts when out and about in Brisbane. During the spring and autumn seasons if you really feel the cold then long sleeved clothing is probably the best bet with warmer clothes for evening attire, but for the most part you may still be able to walk around in your shorts and t-shirts quite comfortably.
