Gramado Holiday Weather Overview
Gramado is a picturesque tourist town in the mountains of Rio Grande do Sol in southern Brazil. Winter in Gramado
Winter is Gramado's high season. Between June and September, Brazilians like to experience the cold the rarely experience elsewhere, and during this time hotels are at their most expensive and the local attractions are busiest.
August sees the Gramado Film Festival taking place, which is the largest such festival in Brazil.

It can rain quite a lot during the winter months, and fog is also common. It occasionally snows in Gramado's winter - the snow doesn't linger for long, but causes great excitement!

Spring and Summer in Gramado
Spring is a beautiful time to visit Gramado, and the town is known for its blooming hydrangeas. During October and November, day time temperatures start to rise towards the mid 20s Celsius, while overnight temperatures will warm to around 15°C. You can still experience showers at any time, however, so if you're visiting Gramado in the spring, bring a lightweight waterproof jacket.
December is a very popular time to visit Gramado, as the city is known as Brazil's Christmas capital. The Natal Luz festival lasts for a month, and during this time there are numerous Christmas themed events and activities, and the town is bedecked in Christmas lights. Christmas temperatures top out at around 26°C, but nights of 15°C can still feel a little chilly if there is fog around.
January to March is summer in Gramado, and this is the town's quietest season. It's warm, with daily highs of around 27°C, but the temperature rarely rises above 30°C. Overnight lows of around 18°C are comfortable, so you won't experience the sticky humidity you might find elsewhere in Brazil. Bring lightweight summer clothing and sunscreen.
