Rethymno Holiday Weather Overview
Rethymnon, Crete’s third largest town, is a town rich in history, stretching from the Minoan period to the Ottoman era. A massive Venetian fortress dominates the skyline, and minarets add a touch of the exotic. The town has several interesting museums and cultural attractions, and visitors are usually delighted with the wide, sandy beach.

Rethymnon is situated on Crete’s northern coast, benefitting from a typical Mediterranean climate. This means long, hot summers with mild damp winters to follow.
Rethymnon in Summer
Summer is high season in Rethymnon, and the town can become very crowded. The gorgeous weather makes up for this though - average daily highs between June and August are in the 28-32°C range, and sunshine is guaranteed.
